One Million Black Women: Transformative Investment for Black Women’s Empowerment

Goldman Sachs engaged Values to help develop and launch a signature program aimed at investing in Black women—One Million Black Women (OMBW). This 10-year, $10 billion investment effort sought to align with top Black women-led organizations, spark a nationwide grassroots conversation and ultimately empower Black women with capital to change their lives, families and communities.

To achieve these ambitious objectives, Values crafted comprehensive campaign framing, strategy, messaging, and a launch template. We facilitated formal MOUs with over 10 prominent Black women-led organizations, hosted virtual listening sessions with grassroots and business leaders, and identified key social media influencers to amplify the campaign.

As a result, the OMBW campaign was launched successfully, on time, paving the way for a multi-billion dollar investment effort. The campaign garnered over 50 million social media impressions on launch day and reached over 400,000 Black women through our listening sessions, creating a robust foundation for ongoing engagement and impact.
